The Cathey House
A home with
a history
A room of your own in one of Albany's historic homes. Cecil and Merle Cathey had it built in the first years of the 1900s, to a design by the Oregon architect A. C. Ewart, and it has stood in Albany's Monteith District ever since.
Inside are inlaid wood floors, beamed ceilings, a carved staircase, a gourmet kitchen and the original light fixtures. Outside, the street is lined with old trees and historic homes, a short walk from downtown.
